PG
Chris Paul, $9,600- He is going to be the popular play tonight at the PG position, and for good reason. The Suns are absolutely dreadful at defending opposing backcourts, and Paul is playing great basketball at the moment. With that said, watch out for a blowout that could limit his minutes as the line is around -17.5.
Goran Dragic, $6,200- If Dwyane Wade sits, this is a lock in every lineup you have tonight. Dragic has been on fire to since coming back from the long break, as Miami has needed others to step up with Bosh being out indefinitely. 46+ fantasy points in the two games since the All-Star break. Money.
Michael Carter-Williams, $6,000- I swear i write this guy up every day, but he continues to be a guy I like at this price tag. With Bayless out and OJ Mayo doing nothing with his minutes, MCW will keep getting his production.
D’Angelo Russell, $4,500- He has been named the starting PG for the remainder of the season for the Lakers (finally), and this means at least 30 minutes per game for a highly skilled player. Great play if you want to spend elsewhere.
SG
Kris Middleton, $7,200- Not a pretty selection of shooting guards tonight, but Middleton is a safe play. I’m a littler worried about how many Bucks I like tonight, but you can’t ignore Middleton’s consistent production.
Dwyane Wade, $7,100- If he plays, Wade will be in most of my lineups tonight. He has been reliable all year, and somehow when he is questionable and plays, he seems to always play great. No stats on that really, just more of an observation.
Jordan Crawford, $5,600- The 2nd team scoring for the Clippers, Crawford has been getting his minutes every game, and producing as of late. He gets a weak Suns team, and you can feel safe firing him up tonight. My favorite play at the position on a night where I do not like anyone.
SF
LeBron James, $9,700- When King James gets a week of rest, he comes back hot. I’m talking MVP hot. He has proven it so far, and this is my favorite expensive option on the night. You need to get him in your cash game lineups.
Paul George, $8,400- The Heat are a great defensive team, but if there is one position they struggle to defend, it’s the small forward that can shoot the 3. Paul George is averaging 50 fantasy points per game in the 3 games he has played versus the Heat this year, and I love him here tonight if you want to fade Lebron.
Loul Deng, $5,800- I’m surprised his price tag hasn’t jumped into the 7k range yet since Deng has taken most of the offensive production from the absence of Chris Bosh. I’m not sure if he is a must play if Wade is good to go, but if he sits, start Deng with confidence.
Mirza Teletovic, $4,500- With Morris out of the picture, the forward position in Phoenix has become slightly more predictable, meaning Teletovic has become a reliable play. He can shoot the ball very well, and with 30+ minutes per game, I like the start here.
Shabazz Muhammad, $4,100- It’s a risky GPP play, and it could be unnecessary tonight, but if you want to make your lineup unique, Shabazz is a good place to start. His minutes aren’t consistent, but if he climbs into the 25+ range, he could shoot his way into a productive night.
PF
Draymond Green, $8,900- That price tag has fallen over the past few weeks as Green hasn’t been the stats monster he was just a month ago, but with Bogut questionable to play, Green would most likely get the start at the 5, and I like him to get 50+ fantasy points tonight if so.
Kevin Love, $7,300- He, along with LeBron, have been scorching hot since getting a week off, and with Kyrie Irving questionable to play, Love will continue to get more shots up. Andre Drummond is a terrible pick and roll defender, and Love can eat up teams on the pick and roll. I love Love here (ha!).
Julius Randle, $6,100- Along with Russell, Randle has been named the starter going forward, and this can only mean good things for your daily fantasy lineups.
Jabari Parker, $5,900- Even with so many quality options at the PF position tonight, fading Parker right now while he is this hot could be a mistake. 41 and 48 fantasy points in his last two games with 40+ minutes in each. He’s scoring and rebounding like a boss. Fade at your own risk.
C
Karl Anthony-Towns, $8,500- If you read my write-ups, you know that I love this man, or kid? Man child? I don’t know what to call him, but I do know he’s simply beastly.
Hassan Whiteside, $7,400- Even if he comes off of the bench, Whiteside is a rebounding machine that can score 20+ points as well. Never mind his antics off the court, he’s going to eat with Bosh out of the lineup as he dominates the paint for Miami.
Jared Sullinger, $5,700- He’s the guy you want in the Boston front court right now, as he’s gotten 30+ fantasy points in his two games back from the break. It will be interesting to see what the Celtics do with having to defend the two giants of Minnesota, but feel confident that Sulli will get his run tonight.
Alex Len, $4,600- Tyson Chandler is doubtful to play tonight, so Len will most likely get most of the minutes here, and he has proven that he can be highly productive when he gets the chance. Love the savings here.
